The Board of Advisors Meeting of Nanjing Tech University-University of Zaragoza Confucius Institute was held online on April 20th.
President Qiao Xu reviewed the efforts of both universities to help each other through the hard time during the early out-break of the COVID-19. He said that China and Spain had traditional long-term friendship and the cooperation in research collaboration and joint student programs between two universities were also developing to a higher level. The Confucius Institute continued to play its critical role in promoting the multi-level cooperation to achieve win-win for both of us. Both universities should work more closely to make our Confucius Institute a Model CI, featured by its distinctive characteristics of science and technology and people-to-people exchanges.
Rector José Antonio Mayoral spoke highly of the constructive role Confucius Institute had played and reiterated the willingness to promote deeper friendship and inject more vitality into the better development between two universities.
During the board meeting, the co-directors of Confucius Institute made presentations of their annual work report and both universities approved the next-step action plan for holding the Sino-Spain Innovation & Education Forum 2022 and carrying out joint Master and PhD Programs in the near future.
