Nanjing Tech University Online Education Fair held for 2021 Admission in South Africa

The Nanjing Tech University Online Education Fair for 2021 Admission in South Africa was held on April 16th. The fair, attended by Mr. Li Xudong, Education Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in South Africa, Prof. Ahmed Bawa, Chief Executive Officer of Universities South Africa and leadership of both Nanjing Tech University and University of Johannesburg, attracted more than 200 South African undergraduates.

Counsellor Li Xudong spoke highly of NanjingTech enrollment and training of overseas students during the pandemic of COVID-19 and the contribution both universities had made to promote the cultural exchanges between the two countries.

President Qiao Xu reviewed the achievements two universities had made in faculty & student mobilities, research collaborations and cultural exchanges and sincerely invited South African students to pursue their further study in China.

Prof. Ahmed Bawa, Chief Executive Officer of Universities South Africa and Prof. Tshilidzi Marwala, Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of Johannesburg expressed their gratitude to NanjingTech for offering exchange opportunities for South African students. They thought both sides should strengthen research collaborations and people-to-people exchanges in more innovative ways with the help the Confucius Institute.

On the fair, the College of Overseas Education introduced the application procedures, programs and scholarships available for overseas students in South Africa. Representative from Schools of Chemical Engineering, Safety Sciences and Engineering, Civil Engineering and Institute of Advanced Materials also attended the online fair and made introductions.
