德国两院院士Harald Fuchs教授来我校作学术报告

为帮助同学们了解国际科技前沿资讯,拓宽国际视野,3月9日下午,应校长黄维院士的邀请,德国两院院士、明斯特大学Harald Fuchs教授来我校作学术交流,并为2011学院学生带来了一场题为“A Journey To The Nanotechnology”学术报告。2011学院党总支书记眭国荣教授、先进材料研究院副院长霍峰蔚教授、2011学院副院长刘沫和相关老师以及2011学院学生一同聆听了学术报告。

刘沫副院长代表学院向Harald Fuchs教授的到来表示热烈欢迎,同时简要介绍了Harald Fuchs教授的教育背景、科研经历和学术成就。Harald Fuchs教授是纳米科技领域世界知名专家,是德国科学院院士、德国工程院院士、欧洲科学院院士以及发展中国家科学院院士。因为杰出的学术成就,曾获得“菲利普莫里斯奖”、德国联邦十字勋章等荣誉。

Harald Fuchs教授的报告由浅入深。首先,由最简单的纳米尺度讲起,生动形象的比喻一下子吸引了同学们的兴趣。其次,Harald Fuchs教授讲解了纳米技术的巨大魅力及其非凡的应用前景。他认为,纳米技术可以带来全新的物理过程,化学工程和生物应用,比如利用纳米技术制造纳米半导体材料,防紫外线外套,定向识别且杀死癌细胞,将DNA植入细胞内以矫正免疫反应等。最后,Harald Fuchs教授勉励全体同学们“Don’t try to do things,just a little better, do different”,引起所有学生的共鸣。

在最后的互动环节中,Harald Fuchs教授对同学们的提问一一作了回答,并欢迎同学们进入他的实验室开展科学研究。本次讲座为同学们提供了一次与国际学术大师面对面交流和学习的机会,有助于同学们了解纳米技术研究的前沿资讯和未来前景,明确学习方向,提升学习热情,为今后进一步深造创造有利条件。(图/文:2011学院)

Professor Introduction:

Harald Fuchs is a Full-Professor of Experimental Physics at the University of Münster, Germany. He spent from 1984 –1985 a post-doctoral year with IBM Research Laboratory Zurich in the group of G. Binnig & H. Rohrer. From 1985-1993 he was heading the ?Ultrathin Organic Films’ project with BASF AG, Germany, before he became in 1993 a Full Professor and Director of the Physical Institute of the University of Münster. He is the founder of the Center for nanotechnology (CeNTech) in Münster and its scientific director since 1993. His research focuses on nanoscale science and nanotechnology, ranging from scanning probe microscopy to self-organized nanostructure fabrication, and nano-bio systems. He was awarded several research prizes, including the Philip Morris Prize. He is a cofounder of several nanotechnology companies and a member of the Editorial Boards in several international journalsHe is an elected member of the German National Academy of Science ‘Leopoldina’, the German National Academy of Science and Engineering acatech, and the TWAS.(转载于:新利18彩票 官网)
